PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD OF REHABILITATION

Project: Education for Children with Special Needs
Duration: Medium or Long-term
Job Purpose: To give professional input into the development of an innovative programme for the inclusion of children living with disabilities and their parents to provide the best possible care. We are looking for professionals with experience in working with children with special needs to serve alongside a dedicated team of local colleagues.
Essential Qualifications:
- Professional background in the field of special needs education and rehabilitation, such as Teachers, Physio- / Occupational Therapists
- For China an academic degree, at least Masters level is required!
- Experience of organisational development would be an asset
PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR
Location: Afghanistan
Duration: Long-term
Job Purpose: Support programme teams in designing compelling proposals and interventions that address community needs in Afghanistan. Provide technical guidance on proposal development, logical frameworks, and fulfilling donor requirements.
Essential Qualifications:
Experience in programme design and proposal writing for international donors. Knowledge of project cycle management and ability to translate community needs into fundable programme concepts. A masters degree in development studies or relevant field.
SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS ADVISOR
Location: Afghanistan
Duration: Long-term
Job Purpose: Develop strategic approaches for economic empowerment initiatives across the partner organisation’s programmes in Afghanistan. Provide technical guidance to programme teams on designing market-relevant interventions that build community resilience.
Essential Qualifications:
A master’s degree in economics, agriculture, or a related field. Experience providing technical support for livelihood projects in challenging contexts.
MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING ADVISOR
Location: Afghanistan
Duration: Long-term
Job Purpose: Establish MEL frameworks to track programme and organisational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement across the partner organisation’s portfolio. Facilitate learning processes to strengthen programme quality and donor reporting.
Essential Qualifications:
Background in monitoring and evaluation methodologies. Experience implementing MEL systems in development programmes. A master’s degree in social science, public health, development studies, agriculture, or a relevant field.
WASH ADVISOR/SPECIALIST
Location: Afghanistan
Duration: Long-term
Job Purpose: Provide technical guidance on water, sanitation and hygiene strategies for programme development and implementation. Support programme teams in designing sustainable WASH components and provide strategic oversight during execution.
Essential Qualifications:
Degree in engineering or WASH-related field. Experience providing technical support for WASH programmes in resource-limited
settings.
DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND CLIMATE CHANGE ADVISOR
Location: Afghanistan
Duration: Long-term
Job Purpose: Develop strategies to integrate climate resilience and disaster preparedness across the partner organisation’s portfolio. Provide technical guidance to programme teams on designing community-based initiatives that address environmental vulnerabilities.
Essential Qualifications:
Degree in environmental science, climate studies, or disaster management. Experience advising on climate adaptation or disaster risk reduction projects.
PROVINCIAL LEAD
Location: Afghanistan
Duration: Long-term
Job Purpose: Oversee and coordinate all partner organisation programmes and operations within an assigned province of
Afghanistan. Provide leadership to provincial teams while ensuring programme implementation aligns with organisational strategy and meets community needs.
Essential Qualifications:
A master’s degree in community development, development studies, management, and leadership with experience in managing development programmes and demonstrated leadership skills in complex environments. Strong understanding of community engagement and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in challenging contexts.
